Case Study - Spelman College

THE CHALLENGE

According to the Harvard Business Review, “17% of Black women are in the process of starting or running new businesses. That’s compared to just 10% of white women, and 15% of white men.”*

We partnered with the Chair of the Economics Department at Spelman College to help the college explore the best way to position and market the launch of the Spelman College Center for Black Entrepreneurship.

THE SOLUTION

We facilitated and executed a Vision Day to inspire Black Women Entrepreneurs and led a number of focus groups to better understand the experience, challenges & opportunities women face at several stages: pre-launch, launch, and growth.

Afterward, we delivered an executive report to the leadership outlining key findings and proposed recommendations to support the center’s strategic position in 2022.

THE TRANSFORMATION

Reimagine Talent Co. was pleased to support Spelman with the most important step of launching the groundbreaking entrepreneurship center: discovery.

Our process resulted in a thoughtful, relevant launch that has and will continue to yield program participation, and, ultimately, a greater number of Black women founding, leading and scaling businesses globally.
